The NVQ Level 2 in Steel Fixing is a nationally recognised qualification for workers involved in positioning and securing steel bars and mesh for reinforced concrete structures. It confirms your ability to interpret drawings, cut and bend steel, and tie rebar safely and accurately on active construction sites. The assessment takes place entirely on-site through observation, evidence collection, and professional discussion — with no classroom training or exams required. You’ll demonstrate skills in working to tolerances, following health and safety regulations, and using steel fixing tools and equipment. This NVQ is ideal for experienced operatives aiming to gain the Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card. Upon successful completion, you'll receive a recognised certificate accepted across the UK construction industry.
